Latrobe Bulletin 24 May 1967
Samuel D. Cox Sr., 69, 47 Terry Way, Latrobe, died 11 a.m. yesterday in the Shawley
Nursing and Convalescent Home in Youngstown. Born Jan. 14, 1898, in Latrobe;
preceded in death by wife, Emila, in 1956. He was employed at Vulcan Mold & Iron
Co., Latrobe, as a foreman and cranecian. Survived by sons, Henry, Latrobe RD. 2;
Samuel Jr., William and James, all Latrobe; daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Anna- belle)
Irwin, Latrobe R.D. 2; Mrs. George (Betty) Spellman, Mrs. Michael (Florence) Keba,
both Latrobe; Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Derek, Malvern; brothers, Roy, Latrobe; Floyd,
Tacoma, Wash.; Harry, Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Mrs. Florence. Widuckle, Latrobe;
23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Friends received at the John J.
Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Funeral services
will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church with
the Rev. Paul J. Halstead officiating. Interment will follow in the Unity Cemetery.
