Latrobe Bulletin 23 Nov 1956
Mrs. Amelia Wallbaum Cox, 58, Latrobe R. D. 2, Lloydsville, died in Latrobe Hospital
Wednesday at 11:20 p.m. She was born Jan. 11, 1898, at Lycippus, daughter of the
late Henry and Annie Smoker Wallbaum. She was a member of the Evangelical United
Brethren Church. Surviving are her husband Samuel D. Cox and these children: Mrs
Kenneth (Annabelle) Irwin, Derry; Mrs George (Betty) Spellman, Mechesneytown; Mrs
Michael (Florence) Keba, Mrs K Joseph (Janet) Derek, Henry, Samuel Jr. William and
James, all of Latrobe; and 11 grandchildren. These brothers and sisters also
survive: Mrs. Rose Petrosky, Cooperstown; Mrs Anna Frenchick, Loyalhanna; Mrs Carl
(Josephine) Wilford, Latrobe; Raymond, Ligonier; John Mechesneytown.
Friends will be received at the Joseph R. Hunter Funeral Home daily from 10 am to 10
pm until Sunday at 1:40 pm when the body will be removed to the Evangelical United
Brethren Church where services will be conducted at 2 p. m. by her pastor, the Rev.
Paul J. Halstead. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery.
