George Bunca, aged 76 years, 6 months and 14 days, died at the home of his son, Paul
Bunca, at Bradenville, at 5:30 o'clock this morning, (04/12/1944), as the result of
complications.The deceased was born in Austria on September 29, 1867, and had been
living in the United States for the past 68 years. For the past eight years he was
retired as an employee of one of the local steel mills. Previously, he was a
blacksmith. His wife preceded him in death two years ago.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Anna Sherba, of Latrobe; Mrs. Nellie
Quitko, of Latrobe; Mrs. Margaret Toth, of Latrobe; Paul Bunca, of Bradenville; Mrs.
Mary Lalla, of Camden, N.J.; Mrs. Susan Herazo, of RD 1, Derry; George Bunca and
John Bunca, both of Bradenville. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Steve Snyder
of Hazelton; Mrs. Nellie Bunca, of New York City, N.Y.; and Mrs. Mary Smetanko, of
Cleveland, Ohio. Forty-nine grand-children and thirty-one great grand-children also
survive.
Friends and relatives will be received at the home of his son, Paul Bunca, in
Bradenville, until time of the funeral Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, in St. Rose's
Church, Bradenville. Interment will follow in the St Rose cemetery.
