  Obituary:
      Rose E. Schwenk, 97, of the Shook Home, Chambersburg, formerly of 626 Glenn 
  St., Shippensburg, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 in the home.
      Born Jan. 27, 1903 in Sellersville, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the 
  late Joseph B. Stout and Minnie Swope Stout Miller and the widow of Charles F. 
  Schwenk, who died Jan. 13, 1990.
      A graduate of Perkasie High School, Perkasie, she was previously employed 
  at the former Marden Clothing Co., Shippensburg.
      Mrs. Schwenk was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and its 
  Progressive Sunday school class and Shippensburg Civic Club. She was past 
  president of Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223 Auxiliary.
      Surviving are a son, Richard C. of Lansdale; nine grandchildren; nine great-
  grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 
  a son, Charles E. Schwenk, and a daughter, Joanne S. Karper.
      Funeral services will be held Thursday at noon in Grace United Church of 
  Christ, 121 E. Orange St., Shippensburg, with the Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh Jr. 
  officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Township.
  Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church. Fogelsanger-
  Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, is handling arrangements.  Memorial 
  contributions can be made to her church.
