  The will of the late Mrs. Sarah J. W. Haus was probated Friday morning. It is a 
  very short document. Charles W. Haus is named as executor. During the life time 
  of the late Jacob Haus he requested that at the death of his wife a gold watch 
  and chain of his be given to his grandson William Jacob Haus. Pursuant to this 
  request the watch and chain is the first article devised by the will. The watch 
  and chain carried by Mrs. Haus in given to her grandchild, Elizabeth, daughter 
  of James A. Haus. All other property is divided equally among Wm. C. Haus, John 
  C. Haus, Elizabeth Justice, Charles W.Haus, James A. Haus, children of the 
  deceased and Theophilus Haus, son of the late Jacob Haus by a former wife. This 
  property is to be divided after all just debts have been liquidated.
  
  
  
  SILENT SLEEP
  The Funeral of the Late Surah W. Haus.
  The last sad rites over the remains of the late Mrs. Sarah W. Haus were 
  performed Thursday afternoon. Rev. M. H. Calkins officiated, and dwelt upon the
  many noble traits of charrcter of the deceased. Mrs. Haus was a member of the
  Second Presbyterian church ever since she came to New Castle, and was a lifelong
  Christian. She will ever bo remembered as a kind mother and a generous 
  neighbor. The pallbearers were D. B. Kurtz., David Tidball, Sr., John Taylor,
  Joseph Mcllvenny, Paul But/ and Dr. John McKinley.
  
  
  A Life Filled With Usefullness Finished
  
  Mrs. Sarah J. W. Haus, widow of the late Jacob Haus, died Tuesday, Nov. 10,
  at the age of 63 years and eight months. Mrs. Haus was the mother of five 
  children all of whom are still living. William C. living in Sharon, John in 
  Alliance, 0., Elizabeth intermarried with J. M. Justice, of this city, Charles 
  W. the well known Young Alderman and Insurance agent, of the Third ward this 
  city and James, engaged in the Meadville Glass works. Mrs. Haus came to 
  Lawrence county from Juniata county,Pennsylvania, many years ago, and has 
  resided ever since in New Castle, and since the death of her husband the 
  homestead in Croton has continued to be her residence. The five children who 
  still live to mourn the loss of a mother who ever watched their every interest 
  and care,will have the deep sympathy of the entire community. The funeral took
  place from the Haus residence in Croton Thursday, Nov. 12, at 2 o'clock.
