New Castle News, September 14, 1908
James Madison Wilson, aged fifty years, and for many 
years a resident of Unity township, Mahoning county, died 
Wednesday morning after an illness lasting several weeks.  
He spent all of his life in the vicinity of Petersburg and 
was highly esteemed by all who knew him.  He was united in 
marriage a number of years ago to Miss Isa Long, and one son 
and two daughters are the fruit of the union, Harry, and the 
Misses Bertha and Edith Wilson.  He was a member of 
Petersburg entn of the K. O. T. M., and for year attended 
the Presbyterian church at Petersburg. The announcement of 
his death will come as a shock to numerous friends scattered 
all over the county.  The date of the funeral will be 
announced later. - Youngstown Vindicator. Throughout the 
western part of Lawrence county Mr. Wilson was widely 
known."
