C. F. Jackson, aged 70, a prominent farmer of Big Beaver township passed away at the Jameson Memorial hospital, Sunday evening at 6:15, of acute Bright's disease. He was born May 9th, 1862 in Wayne township and spent his entire life in Lawrence county. He was an elder in the Wampum Presbyterian church, president of the New Castle Milling Company and of the Mount Jackson Mutual Fire Insurance Company and assessor of Big Beaver Township. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Jackson, and the following children: Mrs. Norman Duff of North Beaver township, Mrs. Harold Harshall and Oscar L. of Wampum, Orlo C. of New Castle, John D. of Beaver Falls, George H. and Robert B. at home; one brother, Dr. E. D. Jackson of Enon Valley and two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Reed of Carnegie and Mrs. C. H. Bannon of Mahoningtown, R. F. D. 8. Funeral services will be held from the Wampum Presbyterian church, Wednesday at 2:30. Interment at Valley View cemetery. Please omit flowers. Additional Comments: Originally submitted Nov 1999.
