Was Re-Elected Poor Director on November 7th. Death called Amos Cunningham a well known and highly respected resident of Wayne Township yesterday afternoon in the 53rd year of his age. Mr. Cunningham had been ill with catarrh of the stomach since early last spring, but until the last, hopes had been entertained for his recovery. He was re-elected to the position of Director of the Poor at the last election. This was a position, which he had ably filled for many years. He was a member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church and was active in church work. He was born and raised in Wayne Township, and with the exception of a few years passed in the west when he was a young man, he lived all his life here. Mr. Cunningham is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Cunningham, four children, William Cunningham of this city and Ethel, Clara and John Cunningham at home. Three sisters Mrs. H. W. Guy of Perry Township, Mrs. R. C. Schumacher of Wayne Township and Mrs. Fred Weingartner of Ellwood City and Wylie Cunningham living in Virginia, also survive him.
