Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chappell, 505 Edgewood Ave., and Mrs. 
Dorothy Enoch, Highland Ave., have been called to Girard, 
O., due to the death of Dr. Howard Williams, 67, 53 E. 
Liberty St., Girard. Dr. Williams was a brother (-in-law) of 
Mrs. Chappell and Mrs. Enoch. He served seven terms as 
Trumbull County representative in the Ohio State Legislature 
and served as member of the school board.  He was a dentist. 
He held numerous civic and political posts. He was a 
graduate of Girard High School, Bethany College and Western 
Reserve Medical School. He served in World War I. He is also 
survived by his wife, the former Ruth Luena (McCreary) 
Williams; one daughter, Mrs. Luella Gates, Youngstown, O., 
his mother, Margaret E. Williams; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret 
Brock and Mrs. Hannah Noderer, both of Girard; two brothers, 
Richard L. and Lewis J., both of Girard; five grandchildren. 
Services will be held from the First Christian Church of 
Girard at 2 p.m. Thursday with interment in Liberty Union 
Cemetery, Girard. Friends will be received at the funeral 
home this evening and tomorrow afternoon and evening.
