Franklin O. Liston, aged 70, of 131 Wirt St., died of a 
heart ailment at 10 p.m. Monday at his residence. Mr. Liston 
was born March 27, 1882, in Logansport, Ind., a son of 
William M. and Rachel Kinsey Liston.  He lived in Youngstown 
most of his life and was a line foreman for the Ohio Bell 
Telephone Co.  He had been employed by the company 32 years, 
retiring in March, 1942. He was a member of the Telephone 
Pioneers of America, Epworth Methodist Church and formerly a 
member of the John Knox Commandery, Knights of Malta. 
Besides his wife, the former Mary Jane McCreary, whom he 
married 30 years ago, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Robert 
Marshall of New Waterford and Mrs. Robert Eliser of 
Youngstown; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be 
held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffmeister Memorial 
Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. 
tomorrow.
