Price sharimprice@softhome.net January 25, 2024, 9:13 am The Youngstown (OH) Vindicator Dated: 04-08-1952 Mrs. Elizabeth May Ludwig aged 77, of 1117 1/2 Hillman St. died of a heart ailment at 5 p.m. Monday in Southside Hospital. Born July 25, 1874 in Hillsville, Pa., Mrs. Ludwig was a daughter of Miller and Jane McCreary. She came to Youngstown from New Castle, Pa., 15 years ago and was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Her husband, Herman, died 20 years ago. Mrs. Ludwig leaves two brothers, Joseph of Struthers and Charles of Youngstown, and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Downs of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Frank Liston of Youngstown. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Highway Tabernacle Church. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the Hofmeister Memorial Funeral Home. *Note: Elizabeth May McCreary Ludwig lies buried in Lot # 175 in the Lowellville Cemetery in Lowellville, Poland Township, Mahoning Co., OH in an unmarked grave acording to her burial permit # 671. There is also a Valentine Ludwig buried there that died approx. 01-13-1926, but no Herman Ludwig. She is buried on a family plot with her brothers, Joseph William McCreary, Sr., Carl E. McCreary (also unmarked grave) and Joseph's wife, Minnie Emma Cearfoss McCreary and their infant son, Charles Calvin McCreary Additional Comments: Originally submitted May 2004.
