New Castle News (PA), June 22, 1942
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph W. McCreary, aged 59, of 
198 Perry street, Struthers, O., who died Saturday morning 
with coronary sclerosis, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday 
afternoon from the Cunningham Funeral home in Lowellville, 
O., The family is meeting friends at the funeral home this 
evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Born in Edenburg, Pa., in 1883, 
Mrs. McCreary spent most of her life in Hillsville, moving 
to Struthers 2 1/2 years ago.  She was formerly Minnie 
Cearfoss, daughter of Adam and Emma Nelson Cearfoss.  Mrs. 
McCreary was a member of Edenburg Methodist Church. In 
addition to her husband, whom she married 39 years ago, she 
leaves eight children, Herbert and Cecil of Detroit, Joseph 
of Washington, D.C., James of Youngstown, Mrs. Robert 
Chappell and Mrs. Kenneth Enoch of New Castle, Mrs. Howard 
Williams of Girard and Minnie at home, two brothers, Nelson 
Cearfoss of New Castle, James Cearfoss of Ellwood City, two 
sisters, Mrs. Rawl Heasley of Hillsville, Mrs. Nora Coffman 
of Edenburg and 11 grandchildren.
