Price sharimprice@softhome.net January 25, 2024, 8:02 am New Castle News (PA), August 3, 1908 An injury sustained several years ago is attributed as the cause of the death at Hillsville Sunday of Miller McCreary, for years one of the most widely known citizens of that community. About five years ago, while employed as car shipper at the quarries, Mr. McCreary was caught beneath a couple of cars and was severely crushed. Internal injuries troubled him from that time forth and resulted in a pressure on his lungs. That pressure is attributed directly as the cause of death Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The deceased was something more than 60 years of age. and is survived by his wife; four sons, Joseph of Hillsville, Charles of Bessemer, and Carl and Martin at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Daman of New Castle, and Elsie at home. Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased on Tuesday at 2 o'clock and interment will be in the Lowellville cemetery. Additional Comments: Originally submitted May 2004.
