Obituary of JOHN C. GEHO

Low Hill, Nov. 21 - The funeral of the late John C. Geho, who was killed by
being struck by an automobile driven by some unknown person about 6:30
o'clock last Sunday (16 Nov) evening, was held Wednesday at his late home
near Low Hill. Mr. Geho was found lying by the road near the Robert Elwood
farm, by Dr. Huston, of Brownsville. It was reported that he was dead when
found about one hour after being struck by the automo-bile. The body was
removed to Kisinger's morgue and later to the J. V. McDonough's mortuary at
Beallsville. Mr. Geho was a son of the late George and Mary Geho, of near
Centerville and was born and reared in the place where his son now lives.
His wife, Mary E. Geho died 12 years ago. He is survived by one son, William
C. Geho. He is also survived by one brother, Ezra S. Geho, who made his home
with the deceased, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. W. C. Geho and two
grandchildren, Mary Florence and Bertha Mae Geho. Mr. Geho had been employed
by the Pittsburg Mercantile company as night watchman and offices at the
works at Vesta No. 5, near Denbo for the last two and one-half years. He was
born December 26, 1849, being in his 75th year, and had lived at the old
home place all his life. Interment was in the Westland Cemetery, near
Centerville (Washington county).
