Thomas Clark b. 12 Dec 1774 and d. 23 Sept 1846. Son of John Clark (1740-1818)
and Polly Robinson (1743-1836). Thomas was born in Bedford, Westchester County,
NY. Migrated to Milton, Saratoga County 1792 with family. Then to Aurelius,
Cayuga County 1808 to ca 1818; then to Conesus, Livingston County and finally
to Dansville, Steuben County where he died. His father John, died in April 1818
in Springport, Cayuga County, NY and is probably bured in Oak Ridge Cemetery of
that township; though there is no trace of a gravestone. His mother, Polly
Robinson Clark, is bured in Short Tract Cemetery, Town of Granger, Allegany
County, NY. She apparently went there some time after her husband's death and
lived with, or near, her daughter Polly (Mary) Botsford who was married to Ezra
Botsford. Nearly everyone buried in Doty's Corners Cemetery, is related by
blood or by marriage.
