FAULKNER, John, farmer, Town of Painted Post.
          Will dated 9 October 1804.  Appointed executors:  John Faulkner,
          Jr., Town of Bath, and James Faulkner, Esq., Town of Painted
          Post.  To beloved wife Ann Faulkner west half of dwelling house
          divided by entry together with cellar and all household
          furniture, with negro boy and two wenches, also riding horse or
          mare, two cows, together with interest of $750 to be paid yearly
          on demand with all above property to be at her disposal, at her
          death to her children, to enjoy property during her widowhood.
          To son John Faulkner, $250 to be paid as soon as convenient.  To
          son Peter Faulkner $1.  To son Samuel Faulkner $250 to be paid
          four years after death.  To daughter Margaret DOVE $125 to be
          paid six years after decease.  To daughter Mary SILL $125 to be
          paid three years after death.  To granddaughter Martha CARR $15
          to be paid one year after my decease.  To grandson John Faulkner,
          son of David Faulkner, deceased, $25 when he becomes of age one
          year after decease.  To son James Faulkner all rest of real and
          personal estate as he thinks proper toward payment of debts and
          funeral expenses.  Wench ANN to be left to daughter Mary Sill
          after death of wife, James to pay to grandson John Faulkner, son
          of John Faulkner, 1/2 value of said Negro who is to be manumitted

         Administration granted to Martha Tuthill, widow, and Rufus
         BLODGET, Town of Bath, to collect debts, take inventory, render
         true account.  Recorded 8 April 1805. P. 28

LINDSLEY, Samuel, died intestate.
          Loes Lindsley, Town of Painted Post, appointed administrator of
          all goods and chattel, to collect debts, take inventory, render
          true account.  Recorded 24 August 18 1825 Pp. 29-30 (note by
          Kelly... wonder if this is 1805 not 1825 as it's not in order
          with preceding and following page dates)

          Eve Trovener of Town of Bath appointed administratrix.  Recorded

         David BENNET, Town of Reading, seeks to be appointed
         administrator.  Granted 7 September 1806. Pp. 35-36

CALVERT, James, Town of Reading, died intestate.
         Reliance Calvert appointed administratrix.  7 October 1806 (outer
         margin of page missing) P. 37

THORNTON, Presley, of Bath, weak in body of sound mind.
          To loving wife Susan Thornton all property owned in State of New
          York including Negro slaves for her use only.  Appoint said wife
          to pay debts, to make inventory, report at end of six months.
          Appoint David BENNETT administrator.  7 September 1807.  Recorded
          25 November 1806 Page town, no page number.  Pp. 37-?

McQUINN, Anthony, died intestate.
         Mary McQuinn to administer estate of said Anthony to pay his
         debts... Recorded (ink smear) November 1806.  P. 42  Note:  Poor
         copy.  Much smeared ink.  Faded writing.  Torn pages mended with
         fabric adhesive tape.  Edges of page worn and missing.   Difficult
         reading.  Abstracted as much as could be deciphered.

        Mary Bennett (sic) Town of Wayne, Steuben County, granted full
        power to administer estate.  Recorded 9 November 1808.  P. 46

BENSON, Arba, late Town of Putney, Windham County, VT,
        but now residing in Arkport, Steuben County, physician, weak of
        body of sound mind left a will.  My father Peter BROWN to have all
        my property real and personal to dispose of as he thinks proper.
        To Mrs. ABBOT, wife of James ABBOT, living in the neighborhood, a
        book entitled The Outlines of the Theory and Practice of Midwifery.
        To Dr. Dimeon POWERS I give Bull's British Surgery, Chapeldom (?),
        Anatomy, and Culler's Practices of Phisick.  To Adam CAIREY and
        William Cairey articles of apparel which have already given them.
        To Dr. Powers medicine left after my decease and a catheter.
        Appoint Father Brown executor.  Signed 3 November 1808, Arba
        Benson.  Witnesses:  Christopher HURBERT, Johnson Carey, Simson
        Powers.  Pp. 47-48.
