The following is the transcribed will of James Stone:

In Book 2, page 80 of the Greene County, Pa wills, the
will of James Stone can be found.

I James Stone of Greene Township, Greene County, State
of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind and memory but
finding my disolution near at hand do make and ordain
this my last will and testament. I recommend my soul
to God who givest and my body to be buried in a decent
manner at the descretion of my Executor. I will that
my just debts and funeral expenses be apid from the
property to be sold and the outstanding debts. I will
unto my wife Barbara as much of the household and
kitchen furniture absolute likewise all the rents of
my place or as much as will be necessary for her one
house, creatures, two cows, five sheep, four hogs and
all the rest to be sold and divided equally among the
children and at loss doth all to be sold and divided
equally to the heirs George Stone, Stephen Stone,
Sarah McKowen, Elias Stone if any should be ....??? I
will my lot in Greensburg to Stephen Stone joining the
??? in Greensburg. I likewise ordain Stephen Stone my
executor. April 14, 1834 this day acknowledged this to
be his last will and testament.

April 29, 1837 - will was registered.
