Will Probated April 8, 1872 Will Vol. 4, Page 379 No.2632

In the name of God, Amen; I, Arthur Rinehart, of Franklin Township, Greene
County, and the State of Pennsylvania, being weak in body, but of perfect mind
and memory, thanks be given unto God. Calling unto mind the mortality of my
body, do make and ordain this, my last will and testament in manner following:
I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, who gave it, and my body I
commend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion
of my executors, and as touching such worldly estate as it has pleased God to
bless me with in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the
following manner and form:
First. It is my will that each of my five sons, Richard Robert, Benjamin,
Wesley, William Arthur, and Henry Porter, shall have equal shares, that is, it
is my desire to assist each of my sons alike. First, the portion of Richard
Robert, is the one half of the farm on which he now lives, which I have already
given him, secured by deed. And of the farm on which I now live, I make the
following disposition. First, three thousand dollars is to be deducted from the
value of the estate to remain in the farm for the support of myself and Rebecca,
my wife, and for the portion of my daughters, Elizabeth and Harriett. Three
hundred dollars to be paid to each of the girls, by Benjamin and William
Arthur, to be paid within five years from date, or sooner if possible. This
leaves ($2400 dollars), twenty four hundred dollars, still in the farm for the
comfortable maintenance of myself and Rebecca, my wife, as long as we live. The
above estate consists of one hundred fifty acres which I value at 50 dollars
per acre, which I give to my sons, Benjamin and William, on the following
conditions. First, Benjamin will pay to Henry Porter, the sum of one thousand
seven hundred and forty dollars, and they (Benjamin and William Arthur) are to
pay all taxes, and all just debts against said estate, provide bountifully both
food and raiment for myself and Rebecca, my wife, furnish medical aid in case of
sickness, if necessary, and pay all funeral expenses, and erect suitable
tombstones over our graves..Also, if I can not, in my lifetime, erect plain
tombstones over my mothers grave that Benjamin and William Arthur will do so. I
also claim the privilege of keeping what stock I now have on the farm, and
Rebecca, my wife, will also have the privilege of keeping what she has.
Also I give and bequeath to my son, Wesley, the sum of one thousand seven
hundred and forty dollars; which sum I have already paid him. Also what
personal property I have, or may have, is to be at my decease equally divided
amongst my five sons, and likewise, I constitute Benjamin and Wesley, my sons,
to be my executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine. Signed Arthur Rinehart
