"I MARY ANN WERTZ of the village of Manns Choice, County of Bedford and State
of Pennsylvania, Being of sound mind Do make this my last will and testamint,
hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me made at any time
heretofore.  And first, I derect that my Body be decently interred in the
burying ground of the Catholic Church at New Baltimore according to the rites
and ceremonies of the said Catholic Church, and that my funeral be conducted
in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life, and as to such
worldly estate as it pleased God to intrust me with.  I dispose as follows:
first I direct that all my debts be paid as soon after my decease as possible
by my beloved Sister MARGARET JANE FLEMING -- I also direct that my real
estate consisting of a tract of land in Juniata township, County and State
aforesaid contining seventy two acres, also one lot of ground No. 5 in WERTZ's
addition to the town of Manns choice, and One Bureau, One pair Cottage
Bedsteads, One Chest, One Trunk, One Stand, Five pictures & frames, One Bible,
One Looking glass with drawer, One long serving Basket, One large Dining
Waster, One long Bake pan, One round pan.  Together with all my Bedclothes and
weaving apparrel to be kept for my beloved daughter MARY ANN JANE WERTZ in
care of my beloved brother MICHAEL FLEMMING who I hereby appoint as guardian
of my said daughter, MARY ANN JANE WERTZ.  And unto my beloved sister,
MARGARET JANE FLEMMING, I devise and bequeath Due note I hold against my
husband V. V. WERTZ for the sum of Two hundred dollars, One Horse, One Buggy,
Two Cows and One Calf - And I do hereby make and ordain my esteemed neighbor,
MICHAEL HOGAN of Juniata township, County & State aforesaid, executor of this
my last will and testament:  In writing whereof, I MARY ANN WERTZ, the
testator, have to this my will, written on on sheet of Paper, set my hand and
seal, this nineteenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One thousand &
eight hundred and Seventy six.

3.) Another document,  February 29, 1876, MARY ANN WERTZ

Bedford County
                         Before me Register for the probate of Wills and
granting letters of Administration in and for said County, personally came
ESPY A. LEHMAN and J. W. KNIPPLE who being duly sworn & officiated according
to law, dispose and say that they were present & saw MARY ANN WERTZ Execute
the within and aforegoing instrument of writing by making her mark to her
name, set a seal thereto (she being unable to write) and heard her pronounce
and declare it to be her last Will and Testament. that they signed their names
as witnesses hereto in her presence and at her request and that at the time of
so doing, she was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their
Knowledge and belief,

4.) Another document,  February 29, 1876, MARY ANN WERTZ

Bedford County
                         Before me Register from probate of Wills & accounts
of Said County, for County appeared J.W. Knipple who being duly sworn appeared
before me and say that MARY ANN WERTZ late of Manns Choice, Harrison Township,
died between 5 & 6 O'clock on this day February (?)twenty, A.D., 1876.
