WILL OF JOHN STONE. JR.

In the name of God amen; I John Stone, of Friends Cove, Bedford County being 
sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory and understanding Praise 
God for it concidering the cetainty of death and the Uncertainty of time 
thereof and to the end I may be better prepared to leave this world whenever 
it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this my 
last Will and Testament, in manner following that is to say First and 
pricipally I comend my soul into the hands of the Almighty God and do hereby 
revoke all former wills by me at any timehereto for made and as to such 
worldly estates wherewith it has pleased God to entrust me I dispose of the 
same as follows:

Viz: according to an artical and agreement and this my last Will, my sons 
Rheuben and Washington are to have the old home real estate by paying out four 
hundred dollars to the other heirs.  I will to my beloved as long as she lives 
all that belongs to me according to the articals of agreement and after my 
death my beloved to have my interest namely -- the one third of the proceeds 
of the farm during her natural life and to occupy during her lifetime that 
part of the house I now occupy and to be entitled all the privileges that I 
was entitled to according to the articels of agreement, one year after my 
death the heir that is most needy receive their share and if the share cannot 
all be paid, to pay as much as they can if the share could not all be paid all 
that remain unpaid of each share in turn draw interest.  Before any of the 
heirs receive any share my son Washington  to have one hundred dollars, as I 
wish him to have that much more then the other heirs, the money to be paid out 
by Rheuben and Washington to the three heirs viz: Ann Mahala Anderson, Rebecca 
Beegle and Soloman Stone to have equal shares, except Soloman who is to have 
one hundred dollars less than the other heirs, namely my son Daniel who is to 
have no share, having paid a large amount of bail money for him and money he 
borrowed from me. The amount of money to be paid out by Rheuben and Washington 
to the heirs will be divided between the three who will have their shares in 
turn beginning the most needy one year after my death, thereafter the next 
most needy and one year year thereafter the third heir until paid.  The share 
that my son Daniel should have is to go to my son Rheuben for money loaned him 
and bail money and i do hereby nominate and appoint David Dick Executor of 
this my Will here by revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me 
at any time herefore made and declare this only to be my Last Will and 
Testament.
In witness whereof I the said testator John Stone have this to be my Last Will 
and testament set my hand and seal this 9th day of February in the year of our 
Lord 1871.

Signed sealed and published and declared by the said testator John Stone as 
and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence 
and at his request have subscribed our names as witness thereto.

When this Will was made it was forgotten to be put in Will that my son Rheuben 
had three hundred dollars of my money which other heirs are to have as in the 
above Will.

Bedford County SS; 

Personally appeared before the subscriber, Register of Wills, Bedford County, 
Joseph Koonz and John H Booty, Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing 
instrument of writing, who being duly sworn, deposed, that they were present 
and saw the testator John Stone, execute the same by making his mark to his 
name to a seal thereto his request, and heard him pronounce and declare the 
same to be his last Will and Testament, and he desired them to sign their 
names as witnesses thereto, and at the time of doing so he said the testator 
was of sound and disposing mind and understanding to the best of their 
knowledge and belief.  The addition signed John A. Gump was not on Will when 
executed.
