In the name of God Amen I John Rowzer of Napier Township, Bedford County and State
of Pennsylvania, being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory and
sound and disposing judgment and calling to mind the mortality of this body to make
and ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me
made do constitute this my last will and testament to be fulfilled by my Executor
herein after to be named. Item 1st. I hereby direct my body to be directly buried
and my soul I commend to God who gave it. Item 2nd. I order and direct cost and
funeral expenses be first paid and the residue of my worldly property I dispose of
in the following manner. viz. I order and direct that all my personal property
together with my outstanding debts be sold and divided between my two sons, namely
Gideon and Phillip.Rouzer, except one bed and bedding which I will and bequeath to
my grand daughter Sophia _____ with one chest and all that is in the chest except
some papers. Item 3rd. I give and bequeath to my grand son Phillip Rouzer my large
bible. Item 4th. I hereby constitute and appoint my esteemed friend Thomas J.
Blackburn Executor of this my last will and testament  In witness where of I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of January A.D. One thousand eight
hundred and thirty one.

Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of 
Anthony Blackburn Esq. Jacob Studebaker

Bedford County Crt. Personally appeared on the 15th day of August A.D. 1831 before
the subscriber requested for the probate of will and granting Letters of
Administration in and for said County, Anthony Blackburn Esq. and Jacob Studebaker
the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing and the said
Anthony being Sworn and the said Jacob being sworn depose and say that they were
personally present and heard and saw the Testator John Rouzer, sign, seal, publish,
pronounce and declare the pregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will
and testament, that at the time thereof the Testator was of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding according to the best of these deponants knowledge and
belief, and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in presence ofthe
Testator and at his request.

Be it remembered that on the 16th day of August A.D. 1831 letters Testamentary were
granted to Thomas J. Blackburn Executor in the foregoing will of John Rouzer named
-- he having first been duly affirmed according to Law
