WILL OF MARY RITCHEY, late of Snake Spring Township, decd.

Dated 26th December A.D. 1889, Probated February 4th A.D. 1890

In the name of God, Amen, I, Mary Ritchey of Snake Spring Township in the County 
of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania being desirous of disposing of such earthly 
possessions wherewith it has pleased God to entrust me with, while I have 
strength and ability so to do, make this my last will and testament.

1. I direct that as soon as convenient after my death all my just debts, if any, 
shall be paid, and all my funeral expenses defrayed from my estate.

2. I direct and it is my will that my daughter Catharine, intermarried with 
Andrew Snowberger, shall have half dollar for each and every week for services 
in attendance upon for three years previous to the date hereof, and as much 
longer as it may be necessary for her to wait upon me, to be paid out of my 
estate by my Executor hereinafter named.

3. I further direct that the remaining part of my estate, shall be equally 
divided among my full heirs, share and share alike, and of those of my full 
heirs who are not living, their heirs shall receive such share of the Father or 
Mother who may not be living. Thus: to Susan Shouf or her heirs one share, to 
Isaac Leach, son of my daughter Mary Leach decd, one share; to the heirs of my 
son Isaac Ritchey decd. one share, to Elizabeth Ritchey or her heirs one share, 
to John Ritchey or his heirs one share, to Hannah Daugherty or her heirs one 
share, to Henry C. Ritchey or his heirs, one share, to Jacob Ritchey (decd) 
heirs one share & Catharine Snowberger, or her heirs one share.

4. I further direct that my household and kitchen furniture shall be disposed of 
at public sale by my Executor, without having the same appraised in a reasonable 
time, and a distribution of the effects thereof made according to several shares 
hereinbefore set forth.

5. I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint John B. Fluck sole Executor in this 
my last will and testament.

Published and declared to be my last will and testament this twenty sixth day of 
December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine.

We Simon Dunkle and Philip Wiles at the request of the said Mary Ritchey, in her 
presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto set our names as 
witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament.

Personally appeared before me, James F. Micker, Register for the probate of 
wills, &c., in and for said county, Simon Dunkel and Philip Wiles, the two 
subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Mary Ritchey, late of 
Snake Spring Twp., deceased, who being duly qualified according to law, depose 
and say that they were personally present and saw and heard the above named 
testatrix sign and seal, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of 
writing as and for her last will and testament, that they signed their names as 
witnesses at the request of said testatrix and in her presence and in the 
presence of each other, and at the time of so doing said testatrix was of sound 
mind, memory and understanding, to the best of deponents' knowledge and belief.

Filed and proven Feb. 4th A.D. 1890. Same day Letters testamentary issued to 
John B. Fluck, he having first been duly sworn. Decedent died Thursday January 
23d, A.D. 1890, at 7 o'clock, P.M. of same day.
