Hopewell Township Bedford Co, PA Jan 20, 1806

In the name of God Amen, I George Nixon of Hopewell Township, Bedford
Co, PA, being
weak and feebled in spirit, but perfectly sound in memory and senses,
thanks be to almighty
God. This being my last Will and Testament, revoking all others
heretofore made for me.
First, I order all my lawful debts to be paid. Secondly, I order my
beloved wife to ____ my
homestead place and all grain ___ the ground together with all my stock
except one black
cow, a calf, and a two year old filly, which is to be given to my
grandchild, John Nixon,
also she is to have the whole household furniture by her paying all
debts lawfully due by
___ out of the same, also she is to have the place during her natural
life, and at her decease,
I allow my daughter, Mary Young (md to Alexander Young) and said John
Nixon, to have
said place to be equally divided between them. Secondly, I order Sarah
Guthrie to get five
shillings. thirdly, I order Margaret Bradshaw to get five shillings.
fourthly, I order George
Nixon Jr, to get five shillings Fiftly, I order wiliam Nixon to get five
shillings. Sixthly, I
order Barbara Hughs to get five shillings. Seventhly, I order Rosanna
Pettite to get five
shillings. Eighthly, I order Thomas Nixon to get five shillings.
Ninthly, I order Rebeckah
Flanagan five shillings. Tenthly, I order Thomas Flanagan to have all my
rights with
interest and claims of military rights which I claim; ___ in the hands
of Samuel McCulloch
for recovery, if recovered, said Flanagan is to give John Nixon
education and clothing.
Eleventhly and lastly, I order Thomas Flanagan and John Piper Jr. to be
the Executors of
this, my last will and testament, given under my hand and seal this 20th
day of January
