Obediah Melott:       Willbook 2, page 271; Bedford County, Pennsylvania
[Note:       read through to final paragraph for name of "Roda Melott," a child who
was accidentally omitted from the main body of the will]


  1st I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Melott all my estate both real
and personal during her life for the suport of her naturel life and for the raising
and schooling the children and after the death of my wife if there should [be] any
personal property left it is my will that my Executors despose of it and public sale
and the money arising there from to be equally divided amongst my Children.

  And I do hereby appoint my son Daniel Melott and my Son-in-law John Melott to be
my Executors and I do hereby Utterly Diselow Revoke and [* * *?] all and every other
form testament will legace bequeath and executor by me in any wise before named
willed or bequeathed.  Reatifying and Conforming and no other to be my last will and
testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal with twenty
fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty
eight

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Obediah Melott snr as
his last Will and testament in the Presence of us who in his Presence and in the
presence of each other here unto Subscribed our names

Also Same day appeared Daniel Daniels Esq. who being duly sworn deposeth & saith
that he wrote the aforegoing Will of Obediah Melott, and that in writing the same he
omitted the name of Roda Melott as appers by the annexed list of the names of the
Children of the said dec. that said deceased gave me the names of his Children and I
wrote their names immediately down on the annexed list, and that the name of Roda was
given in to me by the said intestate & intending by him to be inserted in his Will
