Jay Samuel
last will &c.} Know all men by these presents that I, Samuel Jay
of the Township of Mann and the County of Bedford and state of
Pennsylvania, considering the uncertainty of life and being of sound mind
and memory, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament.
First, I give unto my beloved wife Margaret two beds and two cows to have
and to hold the same and the increase to her forever.
Second, I give and bequeath unto my wife Margaret the use of all
my Real Estate with the residue of my personal property except such a
portion of my personal property as my Executor shall have power to sell
such amount of stock or will satisfy all just debts and funeral expenses.
Nothing is to be sold out of the house.
And I empower my Executor when the youngest child shall have
arrived at the age of fifteen years to sell all the Real Estate and all
the personal property that may be at that time on said farm, and to be
equally divided among all my children, making those by the last wife
equal in share with the first share alike. Allowing my beloved wife such
a portion out of said estate as the law provides for her so long as she
remains my widow.
I nominate and appoint my son David to be the sole Executor of
this my last will and Testament.
In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal and publish
this to be my last will and testament in presence of the witnesses named
below, this fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty one.
                                                                                Samuel
Jay {Seal}

Signed, sealed, declared and published by the said Samuel Jay as

hereto.
