Know all men by these present That We: John Nycum, John Metzger, Samuel L. 
Wilkins, all of the County of Bedford, are held and firmly bound to the 
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the sum of Six Hundred dollars lawful money of 
the United States, to be paid to the Commonwealth, or their certain attorney.  
To which the payment well and truly made, we bind ourselves jointly and 
severally, for and in the whole, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly 
by these presents.  Sealed with our seals, dated "twenty ninth day" of October 
in the year of our Lord, "one thousand eight hundred and thirty two."  The 
Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden John Nycum of 
Bedford County, Providence Township, administrator of all and singular the 
goods, chattels and credits of Fleetwood Jackson late of Providence Township 
deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and 
singular goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have come into 
the hands, possession or knowledge of him the said John Nycum or unto the hands 
and possession of any other person or persons for him; and the same, made so, do 
exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, unto the Registers Office, in the county of 
Bedford. at or before the "twenty-ninth day of November next ensuing; and the 
same goods, chattels, and credits, and all other goods, chattels and credits of 
the said deceased, at the time of his death, which at any time after shall come 
to the hands of and possession of the said John Nycum, or unto the hands of and 
possession of any other person or persons, for him do well and truly administer 
according to law.  And further do make, or cause to be made, a true and just 
account of his said administration, at or before this "twenty-ninth day of 
October" in the year of our Lord, "One thousand eight hundred and thirty three." 
and the rest and residue of the said goods, chattels and credits, which shall be 
found remaining upon the said administrators account, (the same being the first 
examined and allowed by of the Orphans Court of Bedford) shall deliver and pay 
unto such person or persons respectively, as the Orphans Court by their decree 
or sentence, pursuant to the intent and meaning of the several laws now in force 
in this commonwealth, shall limit and appoint.  And if it shall hereafter that 
any last will and testament was made by the deceased, and their executor or 
executors named, do exhibit the same unto the said Register's - office, making 
request to have it allowed and approved accordingly.  And if then the above 
named John Nycum being required to render and deliver the said letters of 
administration, approbation of such testament being first had and made in 
Register's-office, then this obligation to be void and of none effect, or else 
to remain in force and virtue.

Bedford County Pa, J.W. Akers Esq., James Phrost being duly sworn according to 
law do dispose and say on that, they well and truly and without prejudice or 
impartiality, did value and appraise the goods, chattels and credits of 
Fleetwood Jackson late of Providence Township, deceased, and in all aspects did 
perform their duty as appraising to the best of their skill and judgment.

credits, which was of Fleetwood Jackson, late of Providence Township, Bedford 
County in the state of Pennsylvania. Farmer at the time of his death, to wit.

Several names including one Stiles Jackson are found to have been purchasers of 
Items on inventory listing.  Total items sold brought $182.50.

Administrating accounting of John Nycum for the estate of the late Fleetwood 
Jackson of Providence Township deceased.

November 1832--Accountant charges himself with the account of appraisement 
filed: $321.50 + sales $70.98 = $392.48  Payments of $80.31 = $312.17

Accountant also prays for the allowance and distribution made out of said 
estate:

Notice : The accounts appointed by the Orphans Court to apportion the assets of 
the estate of Fleetwood Jackson Deceased remaining in the hands of the 
administrator as reports and finds seventy-seven cents to the dollar on all 
notes undersigned by hands and seals this 21st day of July 1834.

Children of Fleetwood's children were left in the care of John Sipes.  
A bond for Guardianship was filed in Bedford Co. Book 1 page 15 of "St. Clair's 
Bedford"  

April 22, 1835 Bedford County, Pa. bond was filed for guardianship of Eliza. 
Ann; Samantha; Susan; Margaret; Minerva; all children of Fleetwood Jackson of 
Providence Township, now deceased.  Bond of $500.00 Sureties: John Brubaker and 
Henry T. Kline, both residing in Bedford County, Pa.

This is the following words of the petition mentioned above:

At an Orphans Court held at Bedford in the County of Bedford on the third 
Monday, 20th day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and 
Five,  Before the Honorable Alexander Thomson Esq. President. And John Dickey 
and Peter Schilds Esq.'s associate Judges of the same court, which continue day 
to day from adjournments until Saturday of the same month, at which time it was 
adjourned to meet again on the seventh day of May the next.

To the Honorable the Orphans Court of Bedford County, of April Term 1835.
The petition of Rebecca Jackson, widow and relich of Fleetwood Jackson late of 
Providence Township deceased, respectfully ________.  That your petitioners said 
husband died in testate about three years ago, leaving six minor children: Eliza 
Ann, Mary, Margaret, Samantha, Susan, and Minerva Jane, all of whom are under 
the age of fourteen years and have no guardian to take care of their person or 
estate.  Your Petitioner therefore prays your Honors to appoint some fit person 
or persons as Guardian of the persons and estate of the said children.

Upon giving Bond with Security in Five Hundred dollars-same day, by the court 
filed and approved.
