Daily Argus 02/25/1884
Mrs. Sarah Thornton, wife of the late George Thornton, Sr. died at 2 o'clock 
on Thursday, February 14, 1884 at her home, on Northampton Street in Easton, 
PA.  She was 82 years old and had lived in Easton about 60 years. She was born 
in Riegelsville and her maiden name was Edinger.  She is survived by two 
children; a son, Abraham Thornton, an engineer for Oliver's sheet mill and a 
daughter Ellen, wife of William H. Walter, of Quakertown and a number of 
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at her residence 644 
Northampton St.  Services will follow at the chapel and interment will be in 
Easton Cemetery.
