Easton Express 08/24/1903
Mary Ann, widow of Dietrich Sperling; died Monday, August 24, 1903 at 7 
o'clock in Phillipsburg, NJ at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and 
Mrs Aaron F. Patterson, 79 W. Mercer St.She was 71 years old and died from a 
coplication of diseases.  She was preceded in death by her two husbands; 
Abraham E. Thornton and Dietrich Sperling.  She was the daughter of the late 
Mr. and Mrs. George and Eva Brinker.  She is survived by the following 
children;  Mrs. W, H, Raub, Mrs. A. F. Patterson, and George Thornton all of 
Phillipsburg; also three brothers and two sisters; Daniel Brinker, of 
Ashtabula, Ohio; George Brinker, of South Easton; Henry Brinker, Mrs. Amandus 
Steinmetz, and Mrs. William Barron, all of Easton.

Additional Comments:
She was a member of the Bushkill Reformed Church and also Arndt's Reformed 
Church.  Reverend W.W. Barker conducted services at the home and the interment 
was in the Phillipsburg Cemetery
