Death claims Theresia Road Man
Henry Portzer, 72, died at the family home early today. Funeral Saturday 
morning at Nine O'clock. 
Henry Portzer, 72, Theresia Road resident, died at the family home this 
morning at one-fifteen o'clock, after a lingering illness. Funeral services 
will be held from St. Marys Church on Saturday morning at nine o'clock, and 
will be attended by members of the St. Joseph's Society, of which the deceased 
was a member.

Mr. Portzer was born at Lightstreet, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, January 
10, 1855. He was married to Catherine Daniels. September 21, 1886. For many 
years he was employed by the Hall, Kaul Lumber Company, retiring about 
seventeen years ago.

He is survived by his widow and five children: Harry A, of Ridgway; Frank J., 
of Dubois, Apollonia, (Mrs. Albert Blessel), Edward, and Anna, all of St. 
Marys.

The following sisters and brothers are also numbered among the survivors: Mrs. 
Sebastian Sporner, Mrs. A. Bobenreith, Frank Portzer of St. Marys; Mrs. 
Elizabeth Kreg, (note Crick) Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, A. J. Portzer, 
Quakertown. 

Additional Comments:
Henry Portzer was the son of Andrew and Anna Maria Swartz Portzer. He and his 
wife Catherine were parents of 7 children.
