2 Men Killed, Boy Hurt In Many Accidents Here
	Two men were killed, a small boy perhaps fatally injured and a number 
of other persons hurt in accidents in and near Wilkes-Barre within the last 24 
hours.
	The dead:
	Ralph ZAMPETTI, 45 years old, of 113 Prospect street.
	Thomas BURDOCK, 28 years old, of 18 Liddon street, Parsons.
	Critically injured:
	Michael KATSOCK, 8 years old, of 268 Maffett street, Plains.
	ZAMPETTI, a foreman for the Wilkes-Barre Railway Corporation, was 
killed when struck by a truck while he was directing work on a railway track on 
River street, Plains, late yesterday afternoon.  The driver of the truck, Frank 
Regan, 29 years old, of 523 Market street, Kingston, was turned over to the 
State Highway Patrol for questioning.  Zampetti was working with three other 
employes [sic] of the company when Regan aproached[sic] the group going south 
on River street.  Zampetti was struck down.  He was taken to General Hospital 
in the truck of Morris Mittleman of 1009 Monroe avenue, Scranton.  He was dead 
when the truck arrived at the hospital.
	BURDOCK was fatally injured when he fell between two cars being pulled 
up the slope of Prospect mine, Lehigh Valley Coal Company.  He was dead when 
admitted to General Hospital.
Victim of Hit-and-Run
	Believed a victim of a hit and run driver, Michael KATSOCK is 
unconscious and in critical condition today in General Hospital.  He was found 
unconscious in the center of Maffett street, Plains, late yesterday afternoon 
by passing motorists, Joseph JONES, of 96 Abbott street, and Evan J. ROBERTS of 
Maffett street, both of Plains.  The boy is suffering from skull fracture and 
severe injuries to his body.
