Edith M. Tischler



  Mrs. Edith M. Tischler, 520 Clay Ave., died this morning in Moses Taylor

Hospital following a brief illness.  She was the widow of Dr. Claude

F. Tischler, who died in 1962.

  Born in Avoca, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Warren Woolever, 

She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church and its woman's 

societies.

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. June Simpson, Clarks Summit RD 5, two

sons, Warren F., Sunbury; attorney C. Merle Tischler, Boalsburg, Centre

County; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

  The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Schautz Memorial Chapel of

Covenant Presbyterian Church.  The Rev. William R. Letty, pastor, will

officiate. Interment, Langcliff Cemetery, Avoca.

  There will be no viewing.

  Memorial contributions may be made to the Woman's Societies of Covenant

Presbyterian Church or Langcliff Presbyterian Church, Avoca.

  Arrangements by the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home 1810 Sanderson Ave.,

Scranton.
