James E Flynn, 59 Searle Street, Pittston, died Thursday at Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital.  Born in Pittston in 1907, he was the son of the late James and Mary
(O'Brien) Flynn.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of
Blessed Sacrament Church, Hughestown, and its Holy Name Society.  Prior to his
retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company.  He was
preceded in death by his wife the former Grace Curry in 1988; brothers Paul,
Joseph, Albert, Russell; sisters Grace Hoban and Margaret (Peggy) Regan. 
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be at 9:00 a.m.
Saturday from the Paul F Leonard Funeral Home, 575 N. Main Street, Pittston with
Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church.  Interment will be
in St. Marys Help of Christians Cemetery, Pittston.
