Falls Township

WALLACE BUCKMAN farmer, P.O. Fallsington, was born April 26,
1845, in the house where he now resides, in Falls township,
Bucks county. This house was built by his grandfather in
1799. He is a son of Spencer Buckman, who was born in
Newtown township. His mother was Sarah Ann Williamson, her
parents being natives of Bucks county and of English
descent. Wallace was the fourth of a family of five
children, four of whom are now living. He was reared on a
farm, attending the common schools and also a boarding
school at Carversville. He chose farming as a business and
has followed that until the present time. He was married in
1868 to Elizabeth M., daughter of Nathaniel and Jane
(Atchley) Hart, natives of New Jersey and of English
descent. They have two children: E. H. and Williamson.
Mr. Buckman is a republican politically.
