  MRS. MARTHA SHARP,
  
  A guest at the Methodist Home for the Aged at Tyrone, died at that 
  institution yesterday morning at ? o'clock, death being due to cancer 
  from which she suffered since being admitted to the home in 1922.  Mrs. 
  Sharp was a daughter of Jesse and Esther Yocum and was born at 
  Catawissa, Aug. 26, 1849, spending most of her life in that vicinity, 
  until she came to Tyrone, Nov. 1, 1922.  Mrs. Sharp was a devoted 
  member of the Methodist church since early childhood and lived in 
  strict accord to the teachings of the faith.  Her only surviving 
  relative, a step brother, Rev. E. H. Yocum, D.D., of Woolrich, was at 
  the bedside when she passed away.  Funeral services, conducted by Rev. 
  Emerson Karns, D.D., superintendent of the home, were held there at 10 
  o'clock this morning.  Interment at Northumberland.
