Mr. George H. Dinterman, one of Daysville's oldest and best known citizens, died
at his home last Tuesday at 7 a m. after a gradual failing of the vital powers,
resulting from a complication of diseases. The deceased leaves a widow and
eleven children, all grown. Mr. Dinterman was 88 years 9 months and 11 days old,
and with the exception to his long illness that resulted in his death was a
wonderfully preserved man mentally and physically. He was a successful farmer,
and lived around here all his life. An attack of blood poison last fall
resulting from a (unreadable)  left him in s debilitated condition but he
maintained a cheerful and hopeful disposition, always bearing his sufferings
with fortitude and patience.  He was a man of standing, upright character, had a
well preserved memory and delighted to converse of the past, at which time he
became a most intelligent and interesting companion.  He was a good neighbor, of
a kind disposition respected and (unreadable)by all who knew him and loved and
cherished by his family, who in this hour of their (unreadable) have the
(unreadable) sympathy of the community. (Unreadable) of Mr. Dinterman took place
Thursday morning. Services were held at Woodsboro Lutheran Church, conducted by
Rev. Patterson, assisted by Rev. (unreadable). Interment was made at Woodsboro
Cemetery. Upton R. Waltz was the funeral director.
