  Leader Vindicator 
  Elmer L. Sayers died Friday November 9, 1940, at his home in the Leisure Run
  community.  He was born February 3, 1862, in the community where he died.  He
  was 78 years old.
  	
  He was a son of John and Rebecca Orr Sayers He was married to Narrie Young in
  1882. She died in 1931.
  	
  Surviving are two sons: Rev. Homer A. Sayers, Falls Creek; Russell E. Sayers,
  Meadville; four daughters, Mrs. Maude E. Smith, Freeport; Mrs. Lillian Kiehl,
  Leisure Run; Mrs. Rosella Wolfgang, Shannondale; Mrs. Annie C. Shick, at home.
  There are thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, Dr. J.
  C. Sayers, of Reynoldsville, and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Collins, of Jamestown,
  N. Y., also survive.
  	
  Mr. Sayers was a member of the Leisure Run Methodist church; the Macabees in New
  Bethlehem, and the I.O.O.F., of Hawthorn.  He was a director of the New
  Bethlehem Bank.
  	
  The funeral services were held Monday, November 11, at the Reformed church in
  Frogtown with the Rev. J. E. Shafer in charge.  Interment was made in Frogtown
  cemetery under the direction of Mortician H. H. Sloan.
