Obituary notices of Catharine Mohney Miller, as were published in the
EVANGELICAL (an Evangelical Association Church publication)

Miller-on returning from conference we were confronted with the fact
that death had invaded our ranks, as Catharine Miller was called from
time into eternity. She was born March 21, 1821, and died Sept. 28,
1905, at the age of 84 y., 6 m., and 7 d. For 60 years she was a
faithful member of our church. She was the mother of 8 children, and
had 64 grandchildren, 144 great-grandchildren, and 8
great-great-grandchildren. Thirty-five Evangelical pastors served her
and found a good stopping place under her roof. Her heavy afflictions
in her later years were borne patiently. Mother has entered into the
rest she constantly prayed and longed for. Funeral by E. T. Jones.

Miller-The oversight to mention in the Evangelical that Mother Catherine
Miller, who died Sept 25, 1905 near New Salem Armstrong Co. PA was the
good and beloved mother of our esteemed brother A.C. Miller, of Ligonier
Charge, Pittsburg Conf. is too great to be passed by without mention.
It was my happy lot to be her pastor for 3 years, and language fails me
to express the high esteem I had for this mother in Israel. She was a
beloved and devoted mother, and good earnest Christian.
