  Indiana Gazette April 3, 1931
  S. Marshall Lattimer, esteemed resident of Dayton, Armstrong county, died at 
  3:10 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of his brother Harry Lattimer on 
  Graffius Avenue, Punxs'y. Ten weeks ago he fell and broke his hip. He was a 
  patient in the Punxsutawney Hospital for about four weeks and the past six 
  weeks had been at the home of his brother. He was in his 81st year.
  The deceased was born December 29, 1851, near Saltsburg, Indiana County, the 
  oldest son of Robert and Margaret Marshall Lattimer. At the age of 10 years he 
  moved with his parents to Dayton and had resided there since that time, except 
  for five years spent in the vicinity of Punxsutawney, during whith time he was 
  engaged in the lumber business.
  Mr. Lattimer was a member of the Glade Run Presbyterian Church he past  65 
  years. Honest, industrious, a splendid citizen, he was held in exceptional 
  esteem by every acquaintance.
  He leaves one sister, Mrs. Jennie Schrecengost, of Dayton, and three brothers, 
  C.E., of Earlvile, ILL, C.G. of Sault Ste, Marie, Mich, and Harry J of 
  Punxsutaney.
  Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'colock in the Glade 
  Run Presbyterian Church at Dayton. Rev. G.W. McIntyre will officiate and 
  burial will be in the cemetery there. Indiana Gazette 4-3-1931
