    Mrs. Irene E. Houser, 78, of Knox, died 1 am yesterday in Clarion Hospital 
  following an extended illness.  Born July 20, 1902, in Dayton, she was the 
  daughter of Mack (sic) and Stella Wilson Beatty.  On April 6, 1927, she 
  married Ralph K. Houser, who survives.  Mrs. Houser and her husband celebrated 
  their golden wedding anniversary in 1977.  She was a member of Edenberg 
  Presbyterian Church in Knox.
       Survivors include a son, Arthur J. Houser, Dayton; a grandson, James A. 
  Houser of Dayton; and four brothers, Oscar Beatty of Vandergrift, Dale Beatty 
  of Avonmore RD, DeWight (sic) Beatty of Gibsonia and Rev. Clair Beatty of 
  Miamisburg, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Roscoe, and a 
  sister, Pearl.
       Friends will be received after 7 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
  Wednesday at the William N. Rupert Funeral Home in Knox.   Funeral services 
  will be held 11 am Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Beatty of the 
  Church of God officiating.  Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery in 
  Dayton RD 2.
