  MRS. VALJEAN B. GOLLA   Slippery Rock - Mrs. Valjean B. Glenn Golla, 64, of RD 
  2, an employee in the student placement department for 18 years at Slippery 
  Rock University before retiring in 1977, died at 10:25. a.m. March 30, 1985, 
  in Franklin Regional Center, Franklin, Pa., after an extended illness.  She 
  was born in Vandergrift, Pa., on Sep. 26, 1920 to Ellis C. and Hulda Williams 
  Beatty.  She was first married to Loyal B. Glenn, who died in 1945.  She then 
  married James W. Golla, who died in 1977.  Mrs. Golla was a member of North 
  Liberty Presbyterian Church in North Liberty and the American Association of 
  retired Persons.
       Surviving are a son, T. Richard Glenn, of Volant RD 2; a brother, Charles 
  M. Beatty of Apollo, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Lawave Barber of Slippery Rock; and 
  one granddaughter, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She was 
  also preceded in death by her parents.
       Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the Smith 
  Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
  A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home by the 
  Rev. Glenn Beatty of First Church of God.  Interment will be in Butler County 
  Memorial Park.
