  STUART M. BEATTY    Stuart Mack Beatty, aged 79 years, died at 3:25 o'clock 
  this morning in the Turner Rest Home, Applewold, where he spent the past six 
  weeks.  Mrs. Beatty and his wife resided for the last three years with a son 
  Oscar, at 132 Jefferson Avenue, Vandergrift.  He was born on April 19, 1872 in 
  Armstrong county, a son of Robert and Hannah (Stuart) Beatty.  He spent most 
  of his life as a farmer in the vicinity of Dayton.  He was married to the 
  former Miss Stella Wilson nearly 53 years ago.  His wife survives, along with 
  five sons and a daughter, Oscar and Roscoe, both of Vandergrift; Dale of 
  Salina, R. D. 1: Dwight of Avonmore; Rev. Clair Beatty of Covington, Ohio; and 
  Mrs. Ralph Houser of Knox.  Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; four great 
  grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hollenbaugh and Mrs. Maud Hollenbaugh, 
  both of Dayton; and four brothers, Percy of Dayton; George of Blairton, Thomas 
  of Salina and Ellis of Salina R. D. 1.  Mr. Beatty was a member of the First 
  Presbyterian Church in Vandergrift.  Friends will be received in the home of 
  his son, Oscar, 132 Jefferson Avenue, Vandergrift, after 7:30 o'clock 
  tonight.  A short service will be held for the family at 11 o'clock Monday 
  morning, after which the body will be taken to the Glade Run Presbyterian 
  Church.  Friends will be received at the church from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. when 
  funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. Clyde Barnes of the First 
  Presbyterian church, Vandergrift.
  Burial will be made in the Glade Run Presbyterian cemetery.  The Heckman 
  funeral home, Vandergrift, is in charge of the arrangements.
