Blairsville Methodist Organist Marries Cokeville Man



The recent marriage of Miss Martha Elizabeth Beatty, daughter of Mrs. Fannie S. 

Beatty of

43 East Campbell Street, Blairsville, to Howard Graham McHenry, son of Mrs. 

Ruth McHenry

of Cokeville, has been announced here today.

The couple were married in the First Methodist Church in Blairsville by Rev. 

John N. Hempstead

amid Easter flowers and ferns.

The bride was gowned in white satin and marquisette. Her three-quarter length 

veil was caught

by a net tiara and she carried white roses and carnations, tied with white 

streamers.

Attendants were Miss Sara Greasely of Blairsville, a cousin of the bride, as 

maid of honor; Miss

Phyliss Glasser of Blairsville as bridemaid, and five-year-old Miss Sue 

Hesselgresser of Butler,

cousin of the bridegroomas flower girl.

Paul McHenry, brother of the bridegroom was best man, and Gordon Beatty, and 

James C. Beatty,

brothers of the bride, Don Altimus of Freeport, cousin of the bridegroom, and 

William Lightbody of

Blairsville, ushered.

Miss Mary Jo Beatty of Indiana, cousin of the bride, played "Intermezzo" 

and "At Dawning," on the

organ as part of the nuptial music, before the wedding procesion began.

The reception took place in the chapel of the church after the ceremony. 

The bride is organist of the First Methodist Church of Blairsville.
