MRS. RACHEL DIVELY

An aged and highly respected resident of Klahr, Bedford county, and the 
oldest member of the Claar family in that community, died at her home at 
10.30 o'clock last night of a cerebral hemorrhage after an illness of but one 
week.  Deceased was a daughter of George and Barbara Claar Lingenfelter and 
was born on Jan 25, 1843 [date unclear].  She was married many years ago to 
Martin Dively, who died on June 18, 1894.  She is survived by these children: 
Fred Ira(?) Dively, Mrs. J. A. Claar, M. L. Dively and Mrs. Raymond Musselman 
of Claysburg, and John H. Dively of Leamersville.  Two children preceded her 
to the grave, Mrs. Albert Claar and George G. Dively.  She is also survived 
by forty grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-
grandchildren.  During her life she raised two grandchildren, Daisy and 
Rachael Dively, and two great-grandchildren, Brady Feathers and Mrs. 
Catherine Walter.  Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Margaret Sell of 
Leamersville and Mrs. Katurah Walter of Claysburg.  She was a member of the 
Lower Claar Church of the Brethren for sixty-seven years.  The funeral will 
take place Thursday morning at 10.30 o'clock with services conducted at the 
Upper Claar church by Rev. D. I. Pepple.  Interment will be made in the 
church cemetery.
