YELLOW CREEK ITEMS.

Irvin Detwiler, whose illness we mentioned before, has since crossed
over and is with us no more. He died on Friday last of typhoid fever,
and was buried on Sunday at New Enterprise. Mr. Detwiler was twice
married, his first wife preceding him to the eternal world some ten
years ago. He leaves to survive him a wife and four daughters, one by
the first wife and three by the second.

NEW ENTERPRISE ITEMS.

On Sunday, April 5, the remains of Mr. Irvin Detwiler were laid in
the silent grave in the New Enterprise cemetery. The funeral services
were conducted in the Progressive Brethren church by Elder David C.
Long, of the Seventh Day church, to an immense congregation of
neighbors and friends. Mr. Detwiler was a son of Samuel Detwiler, who
died suddenly about eighteen months ago, the result of an accident
while driving a team. His sister, Mrs. James Beach, shortly followed
her father to the grave, and now only one of the family, Mr. Levi
Detwiler, is left to mourn for the departed brother. The deceased was
afflicted for some time with typhoid fever, and died at the age of 35
years, 7 months and 8 days, leaving a wife and four children, who have
the sympathies of the community.
