MRS. REBECCA CRISSMAN

  Widow of John H. Crissman, died at her home at New Paris, Bedford county, 
this morning at 1.15 o'clock.  She was the daughter of Abram and Susan 
(Benneigh) Egolf and was born at Schellsburg on Jan. 9, 1855.  She was united 
in marriage on Oct. 11, 1883 with John H. Crissman, who died thirteen years 
ago.  Surviving are these children:  Edward Crissman and Mrs. [indecipherable] 
Blackburn, both of Johnstown, and Mrs. Melvin Saylor of Phillipsburg; four 
grandchildren and these brothers and sisters:  George Egolf of Buckstown, 
Edward EGOLF and Clarence EGOLF, both of Youngstown, O., Mrs. Rush Clark, Mrs. 
Ralph Mowery and Mrs. Samuel Struckman, all of Johnstown, and Mrs. M. R. Thomas 
of Schellsburg.  She was a member of the United Brethren church and was highly 
esteemed in the community where she resided.  Funeral services will be 
conducted at the home at New Paris Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge 
of Rev. John Winwood of LaJose, a former pastor, assisted by the pastor, Rev. 
J. S. Faninhiser.  Interment will be made in the Schellsburg cemetery.

Note: This obit is an undated clipping, but it states Rebecca's husband died 13 
years previously.  Since John died 6 Apr 1923, Rebecca's obit should fall in 
1936.
