Bedford Gazette, 20 April 1906

  George D. Corle was born near Osterburg, September 14, 1885, and died in the 
East End hospital, Pittsburg, April 12, 1906 of typhoid fever.  He attended the 
common schools of Bedford county and also attended normal schools at Bedford 
and at Windber, and taught one term of school at Johnstown.  He then went to 
Pittsburg where he was employed by the street railway company as conductor.
  Mr. Corle was a bright young man and possessed sterling qualities.  He was 
loved by all who knew him.

George was a son of David E. and Miranda (Crissman) Corle.
