Of 3010 Third avenue, died unexpectedly at his home yesterday afternoon at 4.30 
o'clock.  Mr. Colvin was born May 15, 1877, at Schellsburg, the son of George 
and Priscilla (Robison) Colvin.  His wife, Mrs. Nellie (Gollipher) Colvin, 
preceded him in death.  Mr. Colvin moved to Altoona in 1936 after retiring as a 
mail carrier in Schellsburg.  He descends from one of the pioneer families of 
Schellsburg, his family having operated the Western hotel there for many years.  
Surviving are three children, Ruth, an instructor in the Altoona schools; Carl, 
at home, and Fred of Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs. Effie Ealy of Beaver.  Five 
brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.  He was a member of the First 
Lutheran church of Altoona.  Friends will be received at the Mickle funeral 
home, Schellsburg, after 4 o'clock this afternoon.
