Monday, December 14, 1925

A prominent retired farmer and uncle of Attorney D. Lloyd Claycomb of this 
city, died at his home at Alum Bank, Bedford county, at 10.30 o'clock 
yesterday morning, after a decline in health of some months, death being 
attributed to the weaknesses incident to old age.  He was 70 years old.  He 
was born within two miles of the place where he died, he was the last of six 
brothers.  There were also six sisters in the family.  Deceased is survived by 
his wife, Mrs. Ellen Claycomb and four children: Lemon* and Clark of 
Pleasantville, Clarence of Geistown and Mrs. Ada Moore of Windber.  Four 
sisters also survive: Mrs. Leah Rigg and Mrs. Sadie Hull of Osterburg, Mrs. 
Elmira Berkheimer of Reynoldsdale and Mrs. Polly Hellers*, now 90 years old, 
residing at Gallitzin*. He was a member of the Methodist church.  Funeral 
services will be conducted at Pleasantville tomorrow forenoon at 10 o'clock 
with interment in the cemetery at Pleasantville.
