CONRAD CLAYCOMB

Aged 79 years, for many years a resident of Windber, died at the Old Folks 
Home at Scalp Level, Wednesday morning, December 24, at 7:45 o'clock.  He 
was a guest at the home since August, 1923.  His health had been impaired by 
two strokes of apoplexy.  Mr. Claycomb was born at Imler Cross Roads April 22, 
1845.  He was a son of George and Eliza (Imler) Claycomb.  His wife, Mrs. Sophia 
(Weyant) Claycomb, preceded him to the grave some years ago.  Mr. Claycomb is 
survived by the following children: Milton Claycomb of Pittsbuirgh [sic], Thomas 
Claycomb of Baker's Summit, C. M. Claycomb of Windber, Ross Claycomb, residing 
near Hooversville, Sue, wife of Charles Morrison of Windber, Catherine, wife 
of Robert Adams of Glasgow, and Jennie, wife of John McKee of Missoula, Mont. 
Two daughters, Mrs. Artie Burkett and Mrs. Amanda Briggie preceded their 
father to the grave. The deceased is also survived by two brothers, Adam 
Claycomb of Ryot, and Alex Claycomb of Millersville, O.; also one sister, Mrs. 
Adam Ickes of Reynoldsdale. Interment was made at Imler last Friday.
