Matilda Caspari Dies, Ex-Social Worker

   Mrs. Matilda M. Caspari, 89, died Thursday in Castle Nursing Home at 
Millersburg, where she had been a patient three months.
   She was once active in the Family and Children's Service Society, a United 
Fund agency, and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ.
   Mrs. Caspari was a native of Bedford County, Pa., and an Akron resident 53 
years. Her home was at 734 Mentor rd.
   She leaves a daughter, Mrs. L. A. Frese, and a grand-daughter, both in 
Akron; a sister, Gertrude Griffith, of Johnstown, Pa., and two brothers, S. M. 
of Elizabethtown, Pa., and Stottler Griffith of Atoka, Okla.
   The Rev. Paul B. Kiewit will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday in the 
Long-Scovell Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. 
Saturday until the service time. Burial will be in Johnstown, Pa.
   In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Grace United 
Church of Chris Memorial Fund.

Matilda was born in Spring Meadow, Bedford County, Pennsylvania to John M. and 
Sarah Emily (Miller) Griffith in March 1873. She was married to Ralph Edward 
Caspari who died in 1949.
